Ruger LCR ("Lightweight Compact Revolver") is a lightweight, small-frame revolver, designed by Ruger (Joseph Zajk) and firstly introduced to public in 2010. The LCR contains the latest technological progressive features such as a unique smooth trigger pull and highly manageable recoil system. The overall length of the revolver is 6.5"; a barrel length is 1.875" and weights just 380 g. The LCR is available in .38 Special, .22 LR/WMR, .357 Magnum cartridges. The revolver includes some new features such as a polymer grip and trigger housing, monolithic receiver, and constant force trigger. It features a synthetic glass-filled polymer finished in a matte black with Synergistic Hard Coat and aluminum monolithic frame with all active components in a fire control housing, which enables that a gun can not be cocked prior to firing. The LCR is a concealed hammer revolver that operates in a double action only (DAO). The LCR features a unique friction-reducing cam that can be found on double action revolvers, which standardly have a very heavy trigger pull. The fire pull control system gives a non-stacking, smooth trigger pull, which feels lighter. Originally, there were two models of the revolver released, classic LCR model and the LCR-LG (with the Crimson Trace Laser Grips). Two new models such as the LCR-357 (.357 Magnum) and the LCR-BGXS appeared in June 2010. With the rising popularity of these revolvers, the new Ruger LCR 22 (.22 LR) was introduced in December 2011. There was also a special TALO exclusive limited edition with a gold trimmed and engraved cylinder. The LCR was originally designed to be as comfortable to shoot, as it is to carry. It is easy to manipulate and light enough to carry in a pocket or purse. All of those factors make it and ideal gun choice for shooters worldwide.
