In 1992, Ruger brought the SP-101 version onto the market in .22 LR caliber with the barrel lengths of 57 and 102 mm (2 ¼ and 4 in). Double action-only versions followed in 1993 with a caliber of .357 Magnum and separate revolver in a .38 Special P. These DAO models do not have a hammer spur.
